Proposed Changes for 2020-2021 School Year Start
St. Gregory School has decided to delay the start of the school year slightly. This will give us a little more time to get our classrooms set up with appropriate distancing and allow additional time for the teachers to become familiar with the added technology in the classrooms. We will plan on orientation September 3rd and 4th with the full return (5 days a week) on Tuesday, September 8th. In order to allow all students to get acclimated to the new distancing and other safety protocols, we will split orientation for students into two groups and our parent orientation will be done via video which parents can watch at a later time. This will allow us all to transition back to “brick and mortar” learning a little more calmly.
|Thu, Sep 3||9:00-11:00am||Orientation for K-8 with Last Names beginning A-L|
|Thu, Sep 3||1:00-2:00pm||Orientation for all Virtual Students via Google Meet|
|Fri, Sep 4||9:00-11:00am||Orientation for K-8 with Last Names beginning M-Z|
|Tue, Sep 8||Start of Full Days for K-8
Busing and Before/After Care Begin
Please remember, although we are planning to go back 5 days a week, we may have to switch to the hybrid model at some point. IF Butler Country goes “Yellow” then we will have no choice.
St. Gregory School Covid Health & Safety Plan
This plan is based on several key principals: cohorting (students remain with the same classmates throughout the day), social distancing, strategic use of masks, enhanced cleaning, modified attendance policy and situational “distance” learning.
