Greetings St. Gregory School Community!

Welcome to the 2025 school year!

I am humbled and excited to be entering this academic year as your principal. I have been a part of the St. Gregory School community since 2008 and a life-long member of the Zelienople- Harmony area. St. Gregory School and Divine Grace Parish are truly home to me and my family. I am keenly aware of what a special place this school is and the impact it can have on our children and their hearts. I welcome this opportunity to lead a school as profoundly rooted in faith and quality academics as St. Gregory School. I believe in fostering a learning environment where the teachings of Christ are not only taught but lived.

I have been in the field of education for the better part of over thirty years, with knowledge of both the public and Catholic schools. I will bring my experiences as parent, teacher and school director to the role. I will use these various perspectives to assure that as a school community, we are working toward the shared mission of academic and spiritual growth for our children, families, and staff.

Let me assure you that your St. Gregory School faculty is deeply committed to helping your child(ren) grow and succeed. They boldly model and proclaim the love, ways and truths of Jesus Christ. It will be our mission to fiercely guard and nurture your child’s mind, body, and soul. The teachers and staff have been actively preparing for the year ahead and we can’t wait to hear the sounds of the children in the hallways again.

I encourage you to be an active participant in your child’s educational and spiritual journey. (You can start by joining the PTG at Tuesday’s pool party and school orientation on Wednesday evening.) I also want to emphasize that your role is an important one as we build a supportive partnership between home and school. This will be integral in fostering your young ones’ development and will empower him/her to reach their full potential.

I may be a familiar face to many of you and a new one to others. Either way, I look forward to welcoming you and your children to the upcoming school year. I have a deep love for this school community and my Catholic faith, and I could not be more excited for the year that lies ahead of our most precious young souls!

In closing, please pray for me, the staff, our clergy, and the entire school body as we enter this new school year. May the Holy Spirit and the love of our Blessed Mother be present within our building and our hearts each and every day.

Yours in Christ,
Michelle O’Shea
